Training: SF Half Marathon

Target Date: July 2026 Current Distance: 8km Pace: 5:45/km

I’ve officially signed up for the San Francisco Half Marathon! It’s my first time attempting this distance. Currently following a 12-week training plan that mixes long slow runs with interval training.

Weekly Schedule

  • Mon: Rest
  • Tue: 5k Easy
  • Wed: Interval Training (400m repeats)
  • Thu: Strength Training
  • Fri: 5k Tempo
  • Sat: Rest
  • Sun: Long Run (increasing by 1km each week)

Travel: Kyoto (Autumn 2026)

Status: Planning Phase

Planning a 2-week photography trip to Kyoto to capture the autumn foliage (Momijigari).

Itinerary Ideas

  • Fushimi Inari Taisha: Early morning hike to beat the crowds.
  • Arashiyama Bamboo Grove: Classic spot, but hoping to find some quiet corners.
  • Philosopher’s Path: A meditative walk connecting several temples.
  • Nishiki Market: Food tour!

Random Bits

  • Coffee: Currently obsessed with Ethiopian Yirgacheffe beans. Dialing in my V60 pour-over technique.
  • TV: Watching Severance Season 2. Mind-blowing.
